The Palace Hotel Malta Review English

The Palace Hotel Malta Review English. After a short 20 minute ride from the airport we arrived at The Palace Hotel. We were welcomed with a drink and then we went straight to our room. It was a spacious deluxe room and the room looked exactly like it did on the pictures (unlike some hotels that portray the rooms bigger or more luxurious than they actually are). We had a large single bed which 2 kids can easily fit comfortably and a kingsize bed. For Nimra there was a cot. The Palace Hotel Malta Review in Dutch? Click here

I liked the room

One of the things I really liked about the room was the big closet that easily stored all of our clothes. The bathroom had a drench for a shower, nice!
There was a minibar as well as tea and coffee machines. The room also had a balcony and most important of all: free Wifi

Champagne breakfast

After a relaxing night of sleep in the kingsize bed, we went to the breakfast hall.  There were lots of choices.  I really appreciated all the variety of heatlhy cereals, fruit, yoghurt.  For the fans there were also different kinds of croissants and pastries to choose from as well as refreshments.

Indoor Pool

In the following days we swam twice each day.  One of the musts I looks for when I choose a hotel is an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, since you never know what the weather will be like.  The pool at this hotel was a lot of fun. Besides the pool, they also offered a Turkish steambath, different sorts of sauna’s and a rainshower with enough space for two people.  For Noah it was fun to go into the sauna and Turkish steambath once (only for a couple minutes) and now he knows what they are.

Pool outdoor

The view from the outdoor pool was absolutely breathtaking! There was a large terrace and you could see the rooftop pool passing through the terrace into another pool.  It was also possible to eat outside while enjoying the view.  The hotel provided towels, this service makes a guest’s stay really comfortable.

Spa and Gym

Think of any kind of treatment and they provide for it.  From microdermabrasion (permanent make-up), to mani/pedi, to a full body massage, they have it all.  It is ideal if you would like to be pampered during your vacation.  The gym looked very clean.  I didn’t workout, since during my vacation I’d rather not exercise.  But if I was on a business trip to this hotel, then it would have been a perfect match to my lifestyle: healthy eating, sleeping, swimming, sports and a body treatment.

Dining at the 9th floor  at TemptAsian Restaurant

We had a delicious meal in the restaurant and it wasn’t all that expensive.  For a 5 start hotel, I would have expected higher prices. One can enjoy a main course for 16 euros.  They also served sushi and other Asian dishes.  That’s exactly what we love, so it hit the spot!

Supermarket 2 minutes walk

It was an ideal place to get an ice cream or a peanut butter sandwich.  Noah never eats well on holiday, so we were able to get what he liked just around the corner.  I also went grocery shopping for our return trip: some tomatoes, feta cheese, olives, and I brought these back with me to the Netherlands.

Boulevard

We love shopping, sightseeing and hiking.  We were able to do all of these at the Boulevard of Sliema.  There were large brand stores combined with smaller shops.  It was also possible to have nice snacks on the waterside.  All one can wish for was within 5 minutes walking distance from The Palace Hotel.

Playmobil

We also visited Playmobil.  The kids are too young for museums or for excursions.  Nimra is 1 year old and a bus tour wouldn’t be fun for her. Neither would we have been able to spend too much time on a boat.  So I was absolutely thrilled when I found out that the worlds 2nd biggest playmobil park was located here.

Recommendation

I would absolutely recommend Malta and The Palace Hotel. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly and this also applies for the staff in the restaurants on the Boulevard of Sliema.  It was a cozy atmosphere in Malta and their weather is almost always sunny, even in the winter.  We will definitely be returning for another visit.
